WERCSmart Subscription payment methods

Several forms of payment are accepted for subscription.

Here are the four accepted payment methods: 

  • Credit Card

  • PayPal

  • Automated Clearing House (commonly referred to as ACH)

  • Wire Transfer


Please select the default payment option that works best for your company. Here is a breakdown of each payment method:


Credit Card:

Credit Cards are one of the more commonly used payment methods since they can be processed almost immediately once an invoice is generated. 

  • Credit Cards are not always provided by organizations to their employees for use. Therefore, if your company doesn't issue credit cards for payment of business transactions, you may need to select a different option.

  • Payments made via Credit card are processed by WERCSmart within 1-2 hours.

  • If your payment is declined, please contact your bank or other financial institution who is handling the transaction for more information.


PayPal:


PayPal is a 3rd-Party service to provide secure payments.  

  • Please note that you can send up to $60,000, but may be limited to $10,000 in a single transaction. (This amount can vary though, depending on your currency).  

  • If you experience issues with PayPal payments, you will need to reach out to PayPal directly for additional assistance.

  • Only one PayPal may be registered to a WERCSmart account at a time. If you wish to add a new PayPal account, please mark another method of payment as the default. This will then allow you to delete the previous PayPal account and add your new account.

  • Payments made via PayPal are typically processed immediately but can take up to 1 business day in some cases.


Automatic Clearing House (ACH):

Automated Clearing House (ACH) is an electronic method of payment using your organization's routing and account information.  

  • ACH transactions typically take up to one (1) business day to process and are generally used domestically in the United States. In some cases, the payment may take 3 business days to process. 

  • When utilizing ACH as your payment option, your company name as listed in WERCSmart and the invoice number that the payment is being applied to must be included on the payment notes.

    • If this information is missing, this may result in delays in your payment being applied. 

  • Ensure that you are sending the payment to the correct address by using the UL WERCSmart payment profile and W-9 attached at the bottom of this article. 


Wire Transfer:

Wire Transfer is an available option to pay for your WERCSmart Subscription. 

  • We need to be sure our accounting department has the funds from the wire transfer before your account will be able to submit items through the shopping cart.

  • Depending on your company’s location, Wire Transfers can take 1-3 business days (Domestic/US) and up to 15 business days (International) to have the funds received and applied to the account.

  • When utilizing Wire Transfer as your payment option, your WERCSmart Company Name and the invoice number that the payment is being applied to must be included on the transfer document.

    • Once you have initiated your Wire Transfer, please send an email to nbk.strcashapplication@ul.com and provide details of the wire transfer. This will assure that once the funds arrive, they may be applied in a timely manner.

    • When you select Wire Transfer, the invoice generated will include the bank information needed to finalize the wire transfer.

    • Your WERCSmart account will remain locked for the duration of time while the Wire Transfer is being sent and received. 

  • Ensure that you are sending the payment to the correct address by using the UL WERCSmart payment profile and W-9 attached at the bottom of this article.

Special note:

WERCSmart requires that you select one (1) payment method to be marked as "Default" and all payments will be charged to whichever payment method is marked as "Default". You may update which payment method you have marked as "Default" at any time within your account. 

  • You may have several payment methods added to your account at once however only the "Default" payment method will be charged. 

  • The W-9, banking profile, and all other tax and payment information for UL WERCSmart is attached to this article for your company's use. 

  • You may hover over the name of each attachment to see the full name and download the correct document.
