How to update payment methods in 

WERCSmart


Your WERCSmart payment methods can be updated at any time within your account.

Here are the steps for updating your account payment methods:

  • Please select your name in the top right corner of the home page of your WERCSmart account 

  • Select "My Account".

  • Navigate to the right side of the "My Account" page and select the "Payment Methods" title listed in blue.

    • Please note that only account Administrators will have access to the "Payment Methods" page.

  • If you have a payment method already listed and marked as "Default" you may select one of the options listed below "Add a New Payment Method" to add your new payment method. 

    • Please note that in order to update any payment method you will need to add the updated method as a new payment method. This also applies to Credit Cards on the account that have expired. Expired Credit Cards must be updated by adding the card as a new payment method even when the card information is unchanged aside from the expiration date. 

  • After adding any new payment method, please be sure to mark your desired method of payment as "Default" and click save before leaving the page.

  • After completing your updates to your account payment methods, please return to the "My Account" page and select the green "Sync" button as shown below to sync your account with the new payment method: 


Special Note: 

  • Here are some common errors that pop-up when you add a payment method: 

    • SR Taxation: This error generally is produced when some component of your billing address is either not filled in or is incorrect. Please select the "Change" option on the right side of the Payment Methods page to review your billing address and confirm that all of the information is present and accurate. 

    • AVS Mismatch: This error is the result of your billing address in WERCSmart being different than the billing address that is connected to your payment method. Please review the billing address that your financial institution has on file for your payment method to ensure that your WERCSmart billing address is the same. 

    • Too Many Redirects/Attempts: This error may appear after you have attempted to add your payment method unsuccessfully several times. If you see this error message, please log out of WERCSmart completely, and clear your browser cache as well as your cookies before logging back in and attempting to add your payment method again. 

  • If you receive an error message different than those listed above, or you cannot clear one of the errors presented above, please contact Customer Support via chat, phone call, or by submitting a ticket for assistance with resolving this error.
