Updating your subscription level in WERCSmart


If you need to downgrade your subscription level or cancel your subscription, follow the steps below.

Downgrade Subscription  


You may need to downgrade your WERCSmart subscription for two reasons.

  1. To accurately reflect your current number of products
  2. To change your desired level of support 


Note

  • Your WERCSmart account will only be eligible to be downgraded after you have deleted enough products to fit a lower subscription tier
  • Downgrades must take place within the 30 days leading up to the annual subscription renewal date. Please proceed to the "Subscription Information" page of your WERCSmart account to review your annual renewal date.


Step 1: Navigate to My Account 

  • Log in to WERCSmart. 
  • Click on your name in the top right corner.
  • Click on My Account.
  • Under the 'My Account' section, find the center column titled 'Subscription'.
  • Click the green Upgrade button.  


Step 2: Select Tiered Subscription Options

  • You will be brought to the 'Subscription Upgrade' page, although you are downgrading. 
  • Select the dropdown option to match your desired number of products for Formulated Products, Enhanced Articles, and Articles.
    • If you do not have a product for a section, please select None.
    • The lowest option available for each category reflects the lowest tier that your account is eligible to downgrade to.
    • If you do not see your desired subscription tier shown, you will need to delete more products to be eligible to downgrade to the next tier.

Step 4: Select an Agent Support Service Plan [optional] 

  • Select desired Agent Support.
  • At any time during the selection process, see the bottom banner for Estimated Annual Cost details.
  • Once you have made your selections, click the green PROCEED button in the lower right corner.
  • Review plan details in the popup box.
  • Click Checkout.


Step 5: Submit Payment

  • You will be brought to the 'Payment Method' page.
  • The total prorated amount that will be credited for the downgrade is referred to as the 'Total'.
    • This credit will be placed on your account to be applied to future invoices. 
  • Click on the green Continue button. 
  • You will see a page confirming that your subscription has been successfully downgraded and you can select the green "Home" option to return to your home page.
    • The system will automatically generate a new invoice showing the details of your downgrade which can be viewed within your account. 



Cancel Subscription

If you need to cancel your WERCSmart subscription, please follow the steps below.

 

Step 1: Cancellation Timeline

Subscription cancellations must take place within the 30 days leading up to the annual subscription renewal date. 

  • To view your annual renewal date, click on your name in the top right corner.
  • Click on My Account.
  • Under the 'My Account' section, find your subscription information.


Step 2: Discontinue or Obsolete all products

To make your account eligible for cancellation, you will need to delete all of your current product registrations from the account by making your products Obsolete.


Step 3: Outstanding Balances

To request cancellation of your WERCSmart account, you need to make sure that the account does not have any outstanding balances. 


Step 4: Contact Customer Support

Once you have followed the steps above, please contact Customer Support to request a cancellation.
