Total formulation concentration percentages in WERCSmart. 

The total concentration percentage of ingredients entered in your WERCSmart formulation must equal at least 100%.  

If your overall ingredient concentration is below 100% after you have added all of your ingredients and concentrations, the system will generate the error shown below: 

If you receive this error message and are unsure how to proceed, we advise taking the following steps: 

• Look over your SDS to confirm that all of your concentrations have been added correctly. 

• Confirm that your full list of ingredients is added to the formulation, including any non-hazardous components that make up your formulation.

• Contact your factory or laboratory that manufactures the formulation to confirm that you have access to the full formulation of your product. 

  • This would include all ingredients of the formulation as well as the concentrations. 

• If the concentrations on your SDS are in ranges, you can type in your concentration on the upper side of the range to make sure that you reach 100% overall. 

  • For example, if an ingredient shows on your SDS as having a concentration of 30-40%, you would be able to enter 40% in your WERCSmart formulation to assist in meet the 100% requirement. 

• The overall concentration can be greater than 100% however make sure not to go too far over 100% as this could cause suspensions during the Assessment process. Try to keep your overall concentration percentage as close to 100% as possible.
