Removing a UPC and/or Retailer from a product registration.
You may find that your retailer no longer sells your product and therefore you would need to remove the Retailer and/or UPC from your product registration to keep the registration up to date.
Please use the steps below to remove a retailer and/or UPC from your product registration:
Select the three dots below actions to the right of the product you would like to edit.
Click on "Edit UPCs" from the dropdown list if your product is in "Accepted by Retailers" (Green) status.
If you see an option on the dropdown list that says "Archive Retailers", you may select this option and the system will ask which retailer(s) you would like to remove. After selecting "Confirm", your desired retailer(s) will be removed from the product. You can bypass the remainder of the steps below if you are able to delete the retailer(s) using this function.
If the product is in "Needs Your Attention" (Red) status, select "Update Required" or "Edit UPCs" if one of these options is present.
If the product is in "Not Yet Submitted" status, select "Edit".
If the product is in "Assessment in Progress" (Yellow) status, you will need to either contact Customer Support to have the product placed in a recertification or wait until the review process is complete to make your edit.
Select the "Recipient and UPC Details" title on the top of the page to go to this page of the registration.
Click on the section that says "Global trade Item Number (GTIN)/Universal Product Code (UPC)" to be brought to that page.
Select the checkbox to the left of the UPC that you would like to remove either the retailer from, or that you would like to fully remove/along with the retailer(s) associated.
If you are removing the entire UPC as well as the retailer(s) associated, please select the "Delete Rows" option and select the "OK" button on the pop-up to delete the UPC. Please repeat this process for all UPC's you are wanting to remove.
If you are only removing a retailer from the UPC, please navigate to the right side of the UPC section where you see several checkboxes under "Destination retailers". Check the boxes of the retailer(s) that you would like to remove from this UPC and then select the "Remove Retailers" button shown in blue. This will remove the retailer(s) from the UPC.
If you need to remove a retailer from several UPC's, please repeat the process outlined in the bullet point above to remove the retailer from all of the UPC's that are associated.
If you would like to remove UPC's from your product and you do not need to remove any retailers, you may continue through the registration by selecting the "Continue" options until you are brought back to the home page and your product is resubmitted.
Now that you have removed your UPC's connected to a retailer, or you have removed a retailer from your UPC's, please select the "Retailer" section listed just above the "Global trade Item Number (GTIN)/Universal Product Code (UPC)" title.
You will now be on the retailer screen where you can manage all of the retailers connected to your product.
Select the checkbox(s) for the retailer(s) that you would like to remove.
Please do NOT remove the retailer listed as "No Retailer/No UPC Product" as this is a placeholder retailer used to mitigate system errors.
Removing the "No Retailer/No UPC Product" may result in further errors with your product which is why keeping this placeholder is imperative.
If you delete the "No Retailer/No UPC Product" placeholder, please contact customer support to have this placeholder added back to your product.
After selecting the checkbox for each retailer you would like to remove, please click on the garbage can icon to remove the retailer(s) selected.
You may now select the "Continue" options on each page of the registration until you are brought back to the home page and your product is resubmitted successfully with these updates made.
