If your product has been submitted and reviewed successfully, you may add a new UPC and retailer to the product by following the steps below:
Please copy the WERCSmart product ID that you would like to add the UPC and retailer to from your home screen.
Select the grey "Bulk Actions" button on the right side of the page.
Select the "Forward Product Registration" option.
Paste your product ID or product name that you would like to add the new UPC and retailer to in the box titled "Search by WPS ID or Product Name".
Once you see the product populate that you would like to forward, please select the checkbox to the left side and select the green "Continue" button on the bottom right side of the page.
On the next page, please select the checkbox of the retailer(s) that you would like to forward your product to.
If your retailer has already been added to the product registration, you may add only a UPC on your product registration.
Select the green "Continue" button on the bottom right side of the page.
On the "Select UPCs" page, select the blue "Edit" option to the right side of your product ID.
If you already have UPCs present in this box, you may check the checkboxes to send the product to the new retailers you have selected in the previous page.
After filling out all of the fields that pertain to your UPC, please select "Save" on the bottom right corner.
You will need to fill in the "UPC number", "Product Name on Label", "Container Type" and the "Size" in ounces.
The "Internal SKU" is not required but you may add your company's internal SKU if desired.
The "Certifications" and "Transportation" boxes can be left blank unless they apply to your UPC.
Make sure that only your desired retailers that will be receiving this UPC are listed on the "Retailers" column. Select the "X" option to remove any retailers that you do not want this UPC sent to.
Check the check box of the UPC(s) that you would like to send to your retailer(s) and select the green "Continue" button on the bottom right side of the page.
You may now review the UPC number(s) you are forwarding as well as the retailer(s) that this UPC will be forwarded to.
Select the green "Continue" button shown on the right side of the page below your UPC entries.
On the "Review and Submit" page, please add your email address in the box to notify yourself or another member of your company if there are any updates on the product registration.
Select the checkbox to the left of "All of the above statements are true" to confirm that only your UPC and Retailers have changed on this product.
Select the "One or more of these statements are not true" if your product needs other updates aside from the UPC and Retailers and the product will be placed in a recertification for these updates to be made prior to submitting.
Select the green "Continue" button on the bottom right side of the page.
The product will now be forwarded to your desired retailer(s) using the UPC(s) that you have added.
Retailers may take up to 24 hours to receive this data in their data feed.
You may also add a new UPC to an existing retailer on your product registration by following the steps below:
Select the three dots below actions to the right of the product you would like to edit.
Click on "Edit UPCs" from the dropdown list if your product is in "Accepted by Retailers" (Green) status.
If the product is showing in "Needs Your Attention" (Red) status, select "Update Required" or "Edit UPCs" if one of these options is present.
If the product is in "Not Yet Submitted" status, select "Edit".
Select the "Recipient and UPC Details" title on the top of the page to go to this page of the registration.
Click on the section that says "Global trade Item Number (GTIN)/Universal Product Code (UPC)" to be brought to that page.
Select the green "+ Add" button on the upper left side of the page.
Type in the details of your correct UPC number as well as the other fields including the container type, the size of the UPC in ounces and select your destination retailers who will be receiving this UPC.
The internal SKU box may be left blank if your company does not have an internal SKU or if the SKU does not align with the text requirements for the box.
You do not need to check the boxes for your destination retailers unless you are removing retailers from this UPC.
Select the green "Continue" button in the lower right corner of the page to proceed through the remainder of your registration and submit.
Please select the arrows in the bottom right corner of the attachment below to proceed through each step.
