WERCSmart continues to provide improvements to data collection and delivery for our supplier and retail customers. Here's what is in store on September 28, 2022.
Volatile Organic Compound (VOC) Registrations
When registering a product for Region of Canada, the registration process will no longer include data collection for U.S. Regions. The data entered will be applicable to Canada VOC regulations.
Pesticide Data Collection Expansion
There are product registrations that may contain specific chemicals typically used in pesticide registrations. To ensure compliance with EPA (U.S.) regulations as well as Canada’s Pest or Drug Control regulations, additional data may be collected for some registrations.
- Dryer Sheets
- Oven Cleaner
- Personal Fragrance Product
- Germicidal Ultra-Violet Lightbulbs
- Hand Sanitizer Wipes
- Craft Kits containing Glues and/or Paints
- Drain Openers
- Insulation for Home Use
Pesticide State Expiration Date
Forwarding of a registration that contains State Pesticide data will be allowed up until the expiration date is met.
State expiration data will be always available for editing and revision.
Fertilizers and Grass Seed Registrations
To comply with regional requirements, additional data will be necessary relating to Slow-Release Agents when Nitrogen values are provided in the WERCSmart registration.
Existing registrations may encounter auto-recertification data requirements when forwarding or editing UPC (Universal Product Code) data once this is implemented.
Registrations that include a lithium battery will be provided with an updated battery-selection table that will include information on watt hours and grams lithium for the battery that is chosen. This will ensure the battery included with the registration is the most accurate and improve data classification by UL Solutions.
Retail Completion Notifications via Email
In the Account User/Admin table, fixes will be made so that deactivated users/admins no longer receive retailer completion notifications.
