WERCSmart continues to provide improvements to data collection and delivery for our supplier and retail customers. Here's what is in store on September 28, 2022
California Fragrance & Flavor
The report, California Safe Cosmetic Program Assessment, will now have a new column for the report output that will clarify the ingredient name(s) of any reportable ingredients, as per the regulation.
Additionally, kit registrations that contain private label (private brand) products directed to Target will now be included in the regulatory information for each individual regulated product within the kit.

Upcoming improvements
Fertilizers and Grass Seed Registrations
To comply with regional requirements, additional data will be necessary relating to Slow-Release Agents when Nitrogen values are provided in the WERCSmart registration.
Existing registrations may encounter auto-recertification data requirements when forwarding or editing UPC (Universal Product Code) data once this is implemented.
Battery-Containing Products
Registrations that include a lithium battery will be provided with an updated battery-selection table that will include information on watt hours and grams lithium for the battery that is chosen. This will ensure the battery included with the registration is the most accurate and improve data classification by UL Solutions.
Retail Completion Notifications via Email
In the Account User/Admin table, fixes will be made so that deactivated users/admins no longer receive retailer completion notifications.
