South Coast Air Quality Management District (SCQAMD) Regulation - Rule 1113

Volatile Organic Compound (VOC) regulatory changes effective January 1, 2020 with regard to California’s South Coast Air Quality Management District (SCAQMD) will impact some WERCSmart registrations.
The regulation, Rule 1113, lowers the container size thresholds for Paint registrations. If you manufacture, distribute, or sell paint products within the State of California, you are impacted by this regulation.
To summarize, the changes to the container size thresholds are:
Rust Preventative Coatings – The small container exemption is being reduced from 1L to 8 ounces.
WERCSmart has size limit changes initiated, which will affect:
New registrations
Existing registrations when forwarded
UPC updates
General product updates
