Updating payment methods in WERCSmart
WERCSmart payment methods can be updated at any time within your account by following the steps below.
Step 1: Navigate to My Account
- Log in to WERCSmart.
- Click on your name in the top right corner.
- Click on My Account.
Step 2: Payment Method Management
- Under the 'My Account' section, click Payment Method.
- Note: Only the account Administrator can access the "Payment Methods" page.
Step 3: Update an existing payment method
To update any payment method, you must add the updated method as a new payment method.
Note: Expired Credit Cards must be updated by adding the card as a new payment method even when the card information is unchanged aside from the expiration date.
Step 4: Adding a new payment method
Below 'Add a New Payment Method', select your desired payment method.
Mark the desired payment method as 'Default' and click save before leaving the page.
Common Errors
Here are some common errors that occur when you add a payment method:
- AVS Mismatch: This error results from your billing address in WERCSmart being different from the billing address connected to your payment method.
- Please review the billing address that your financial institution has on file for your payment method to ensure that your WERCSmart billing address is the same.
- Too Many Redirects/Attempts: This error may appear after you have attempted to add your payment method unsuccessfully several times.
- Please log out of WERCSmart completely and clear your browser cache and cookies before logging back in and attempting to add your payment method again.
- SR: Taxation Requirement: This error occurs when your billing address state is 'undefined'. A state is required for the 'Sold To Contact' if the country is the United States or Canada.
- Please update the state in your billing address.
