How do I change my WERCSmart account password?

Scenario 1: You have access to your WERCSmart account currently and you would like to update your account password:


You may update the password of your WERCSmart account by taking the following steps:

  • Please select your name in the top right corner of the home page and select "My Account".

  • Please select the three dots to the right of your name below the "Actions" label. 

  • Select the "Reset Password" option as highlighted in the screenshot below: 

Password Requirements:

Your new password must meet several criteria in order to be accepted by WERCSmart: 

  • The password must be between 8 and 25 characters in length.

  • The password must include at least: 

    • 1 Uppercase letter

    • 1 Lowercase letter

    • 1 Number

    • 1 Special character or punctuation mark

  • The password cannot be the same as the previous 10 passwords used.

Special note:

WERCSmart account passwords must be updated every 90 days. You will receive email notifications 30-days and 15-days prior to the password expiration date.


Scenario 2: You are unable to access your WERCSmart account and you will need your password reset:


If you have filled out your account security questions in WERCSmart, you may select the "Forgot Your Password?" option on the login page to reset your password. 


Your security questions can be filled out on the "My Account" page: 

  • Please select the three dots to the right of your name and email address.

  • Select the "Password Security" option from the options and you will be brought to the page where you can edit your security questions which can be used for future account access. 

  • If you have not yet filled out the security questions, we would advise you fill them out in order to reset your password in the future. 

The system will place a 30-minute lock on your account following 3 failed password attempts. Likewise, when using the "Forgot Your Password?" function, you must also wait 30 minutes after resetting your password before logging in.


If you have not filled out your account security questions in WERCSmart, you will need to contact the WERCSmart Customer Support team for a password reset.

 

Customer Support can reset your password to a temporary password that you can use to access the account:

  • Please contact the Customer Support team via phone call, chat or ticket when making a password reset request. 

  • Please provide your name and email address within the request to have your password reset. 

  • Customer Support will provide you with a temporary password that you may use to log in to your account. 

    • The temporary password will remain valid within your account for the 90 days following the reset. This password will become your account's only password. 

    • The temporary password provided by Customer Support will bypass the 30-minute lock-out implemented by the system following 3 failed password attempts.

  • In order to change the temporary password to your own password after you have gained access to the account, please take the steps shown in Scenario 1. 


If you reset your password using the "Forgot Password?" function, fill in your security questions and then receive the email shown below, your account was potentially cancelled for nonpayment of an invoice:

 

 

  • This email will indicate that you do not have a WERCSmart account because your access was restricted following the cancellation of your account. 

    • WERCSmart accounts that have not paid a past due invoice for 120 days will be cancelled for nonpayment meaning that the account must be reinstated. 

  • If you receive an email like the one above and you know that your company has a WERCSmart account, please contact Customer Support via phone call, chat, or by submitting a support ticket requesting the reinstatement of your account.
