The following updates to WERCSmart are available as of the beginning of business September 6, 2022:
Pesticide/EPA FIFRA validation
Flat coating (paints) will now require EPA data for registrations. Existing
registrations will encounter auto-recertification to ensure that the EPA data
is collected, when forwarding to a new retailer, or editing UPCs on the
registration.
My reports
A new report will be available in the reporting area of WERCSmart, specific to
registrations directed to Target. The report will display classification information
specific to Target’s registration requirements.
Data tier consent fix - my retail partners
Target's PurView link is fixed
The link for PurView is fixed and will provides information on obtaining a login to
the PurView data for your registrations.
Upcoming improvements
Fertilizers and grass seed registrations
To comply with regional requirements, additional data will be necessary relating to Slow-Release Agents when Nitrogen values are provided in the WERCSmart registration.
Existing registrations may encounter auto-recertification data requirements when forwarding or editing UPC data once this is implemented.
Battery-containing products
Registrations that include a lithium battery will be provided an updated battery-selection table that will include information on watt- hours and grams lithium for the battery that is chosen. This will ensure the battery chosen to include included with the registration is the most accurate option and improve data classification by UL Solutions. As a reminder, you should always be selected the specific battery and manufacturer that is used in your product.
Retail completion notifications via email
